The Position

We are currently searching for a Truck Tyre Sales Account Manager preferably with business to business sales experience.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to work in our national sales force, selling our extensive range of truck products and services to haulage operators and distributors throughout the assigned region.
Our Account Managers are responsible for effectively representing Michelin and increasing sales within an assigned geographic area. You will report to a Regional Sales Manager in our Truck Tyre division, utilising your exceptional communication and relationship building skills to service fleets and dealers in your region. We provide extensive training which initially involves spending several weeks at our training centre based in Stoke on Trent followed by time out in the field with our trainer representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Be the Michelin representative for the dealer and end user accounts for Cornwall
- Implement commercial policy and be accountable for business results in the region
- Assist fleet customers in lowering their operating costs through tyre sales, analysing alignment/wear problems, performing cost-per-mile analysis, and investigating mechanical issues. Using information gathered by undertaking regular audits of customers fleets.
- Implement a variety of sales strategies, tactics and training to create a level of support and service that meet or exceed the needs of the fleet customer.
- Form effective, consultative partnerships with assigned accounts that result in increased sales of Michelin products.

Requirements
To be successful in this role;
- You should be self-motivated, out-going, have strong social skills and used to doing business;
- You need to be interested in the technical environment (regular hands on analysis of tyres/wear issues is expected to aid customers lower their operating costs)
- We expect you to have a passion for increasing sales and implement plans, and to be strategic when it comes to building relations with customers.
- You should also be organised and have the ability to structure your workday.
- We require you to be an experienced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- It helps if you have an interest in, and/or previous experience from the automotive industry.
- This job requires travelling and you need to be prepared to spend some nights a month away from home.
Applicants should be educated to HND level (or equivalent) with excellent communication and numeracy skills, and experience of working in a sales environment.
