THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Financial Analyst with a strong passion for investments. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to pursue their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is based in Greenville, SC and requires in-office work at the Michelin North America Headquarters in Greenville, SC. 10-20% travel will be required. Limited relocation assistance will be considered.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Monitor and review current investment managers to ensure they meet or exceed performance expectations and adhere to their stated investment strategy and process.
  • Lead compliance function to ensure investments adhere to investment management agreements
  • Perform reviews and due diligence of prospective investment managers (i.e., manager meetings and conference calls, reference checks, research trips, documentation review, etc.)
  • Assist in onboarding/offboarding investment managers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external partners (investment managers, consultants, recordkeepers, banks, actuaries)
  • Maintain strategic asset allocation and ensure adequate liquidity for benefit payments through monthly rebalancing
  • Review new developments and industry trends to bring new ideas for continuous improvement
  • Lead strategic projects to evaluate new investment opportunities and external service providers
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for key stakeholders
  • Present plan performance and investment recommendations to Investment Committees and Pension Boards
  • Provide support for annual audits
  • Manage plan expenses and invoice payment process
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and industry surveys

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or economics preferred (MBA or Full/partial completion of CFA)
  • Requirement to obtain a CFA charter within 5 years of taking position (at Michelin’s expense)
  • A passion for investing and an understanding of capital markets
  • Ability to clearly explain complex topics to senior management
  • Interest in developing expertise across asset classes (equity, fixed income, real estate and alternatives)
  • A willingness to engage in continuous learning to stay current in industry advancements and trends
