WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Analyze global trade data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes (e.g., tariffs, FTAs, non-tariff barriers) on business operations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of trade reporting tools.
  • Lead Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency across parts databases.
  • Provide guidance on country of origin determinations and preferential trade programs.
  • Advise on customs valuation and lead annual policy reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on customs and import regulations.
  • Support audits and investigations conducted by customs authorities or internal compliance teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation using systems like Customs Information Management System (CIMS).
  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives within trade compliance.
  • Partner with procurement, logistics, legal, and finance teams to ensure end-to-end compliance.
  • Deliver training and support to compliance staff and other partners.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) — credentials required upon request.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in trade compliance systems and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to lead initiatives to completion.
