The Opportunity

As the Wage Talent Strategy Leader, you will play a key role in shaping and improving our wage attractivity and recruiting approach. Your focus will be on optimizing and standardizing the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding practices with the goal of attracting top talent, promoting diversity, and providing a quality candidate experience.  By partnering with our manufacturing network, region DE&I, and employee relations teams, you will lead a network of wage recruiters in the region. Your mission will involve defining and implementing the Attractivity and Recruitment approach for manufacturing wage employees in North America. 

You will join your Team at the Michelin North America headquarters in Greenville, SC, conveniently located within driving distance to east coast beaches, the Blue Ridge Mountains and large cities like Atlanta and Charlotte. The mild climate, charming downtown, and impressive culinary scene are just a few of the perks of living here.

Furthermore, the position potentially could be part of an accelerated development program with a goal of positioning the new Leader to rapidly grow within the organization to include Recruiter, Senior Recruiter, and Facility Personnel Manager. Therefore, we need this person to be relocatable to most of our US locations if the accelerated development program is warranted.

What You’ll Do:

Study the current state of wage attractivity, recruiting, hiring and onboarding processes across the North American manufacturing facilities.  Benchmark externally to find possible improvement levers
Propose a future state and create a roadmap for improvement and standardization
Partner with manufacturing network, region DE&I, and employee relations teams to implement updated, standard processes
Activate and lead the network of wage recruiters in the region
Drive progress and have a positive impact on the North American Manufacturing people priorities
Stay up to date on industry trends and adopt approach as needed

What You’ll Bring:

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in HR or relevant field
At least 5 years of Industry experience (or equivalent, relevant experience) with examples of employee attractivity improvement projects
Experience as external ambassador for the Company.  Recruiting experience and/or people management experience is preferred. 
Demonstrated critical thinking and project management skills
Demonstrated influence and impact with strong communication skills
Experience developing and implementing a roadmap of process through project management or lean approach and effectively manage change
Personal conviction and interest in diversity approach
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
Strong time management skills and a track record of meeting objectives
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and effective approaches relevant to recruitment, hiring and onboarding
Proficient with Workday, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other applicant-tracking software or recruitment systems and with Microsoft Office Suite. Comfortable with data analytics.
Travel can be up to 25-50% of the time, depending on the scope of responsibility and business needs.  Be willing to work outside of normal business hours when needed.
